TECHNOLOGY - a Two-Edged Sword

I am fascinated with "TECHNOLOGY". Why? Because in our current world of financial degradation, housing catastrophes, information overload, increased terror attacks (both international and domestic), increased crimes against our children, increased threats to the sacred bond of marriage, natural disasters that are impacting so many dear souls like our brothers and sister in Haiti, THERE IS A THREAD OF SUNSHINE RUNNING MANY BLESSINGS THROUGH THE VERY CORE OF ITS FIBER, AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT...the ever-changing, moving targets called CELL PHONES, the WORLD WIDE WEB and DIGITAL CAMERAS. These things are more unpredictable than Wall street. But, one character they harbor far above anything else and rises to the occasion, when none other can, is "DIVINE BLESSINGS". THEY USHER IN IMMEDIATE AID TO THOSE IN GREAT NEED, at the speed of light. THEY CONNECT LOST LOVED ONES WITH THOSE WHO'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THEM FOR YEARS, at the speed of light . THEY EDUCATE US AND KEEP US UPDATED ON THE "NOW", where books leave off from days gone by and collect dust right before our eyes, at the speed of light. THEY CAN SHOW US WHAT WE WERE, FROM WHERE WE CAME, AND WHERE WE SHOULD HAVE GONE, all at the speed of light.

Yes, TECHNOLOGY can both amaze and yet destroy us at the same time. Of course, there's always two sides to every story...But, the one thing we can all rest assured on and that would be that God has always meant these things for GOOD. Praise God for the goodness of TECHNOLOGY! ~ Carletta (*v*)
